It’s not as easy as choosing the cheapest cloud storage option for a photographer. But it’s also not that complicated. There are many great options available. The most important thing, however, is to find the right package for your needs.
Others have modest requirements. Some photographers need terabytes to store their images and provide instant access anywhere. There are some options that stand out from the rest.
Cloud storage was a luxury for photographers until recently. Digital images were only shot with expensive DSLRs or pocket cameras. They were stored on desktop computers and then backed up on external hard drives. Then they would be emailed to others or shared on social media. Cloud storage is expensive, slow and difficult to manage. It’s often designed for IT professionals, not photographers.
Modern photography, however, is not possible without modern solutions. Cloud storage has become accessible to even the casual photographer and can meet the demands of professionals. There are many cloud storage options for photographers. They can be tailored to suit a wide range of workflows, as well as storage needs.
It’s still important to consider price, speed and storage capacity, but these are no longer the barriers to entry that they once were. It’s no longer a question of ifcloud-storage is right for you. (It probably is!) is the better question. There are many great options.
iCloud is the best cloud storage service for iPhone photographers
While it may seem like an easy answer or a quick fix, I do believe that Apple’s iCloud is the best cloud storage service for iPhone photographers. iCloud backs up your iPhone photos and makes them accessible on all of your Apple devices, including iPads, iMacs and Macbooks.
You can also edit photos on multiple devices. If you crop a picture in your iPhone, the cropped version will be displayed everywhere else. You can share photos stored in iCloud with others. Originals are also available in iCloud, while thumbnails remain on your iPhone. This is a great way of freeing up space on your iPhone, while also keeping your costs down, as you won’t have to pay hundreds more for a phone that has more internal storage.
